The Oscars are coming this Sunday but many of you probably do not know that we the French also have our own Oscars called les César which is happening tonight in Paris. Created in 1976, the French Film Academy has been given out these trophies created by the French sculptor César Baldaccini, hence the name César is often associated with this award. It is held tonight in the centre of Paris at the Théâtre du Châtelet (see its location below) and is also nationally televised. The president of this 38th edition of the ceremony is our comedian Jamel Debbouze and hosted by the actor Antoine de Caunes. All of your favorite French actors will be present tonight including our new Hollywood Star Jean Dujardin and Marion Cotillard. If you are interested to get a guide of the films in competition this year, you can get the additional information here (sorry it's only in French). So if you are in town and want a glimpse of our stars, why not check out the place tonight? Make sure you put on your best outfit to blend in nicely? See you there! If you can't make it, you can always watch it LIVE on the French cable TV Canal+ by clicking here.
