Linder

Who's Linder? If you don't know her, this is a rare chance to discover four decades of practice of this British artist with depth and diversity. What makes her work interesting is it embraces her creative spirit and collaborative energy through art, fashion, music and dance. It all began in the mid 1970s in the northern English city of Manchester when the punk movement started to spread. One of her best known works is a collage mixing pornographic and household magazines as the cover art for the music band Buzzcocks single 'Orgasm Addict' that has since become an icon of that era. Uncompromising and unrelenting feminist approach with pervasive sexual commodification of the female body of her work is a collision between social codes and reinforced cultural notions of gendered identities and behaviours. The artist will also premiere here in Paris her new ballet 'The Ultimate Form' featuring costumes by Pam Hogg, music by Stuart McCullum and dancers of the Northern Ballet. If collage is your language, don't miss this exhibition before April 21st, 2013.
