Piaffe is a movement performed in classical riding in which the horse executes an elevated trot without moving forward. That is exactly the gesture the Japanese artist Adoka Niitsu is imitating in her lastest exhibition in Paris where she expresses her inner reflection through lithography and drawing. Black papers with white and colored figure traces in a repetitive mantra evoking the vegetation, the wather and the fire. Origine of physics, of life, of language, of drawing and of the image reproduction are all linked in her expressive tableau. She chooses "Le Piaffer" to express the movement in projecting her mental colours and her most intimate poems. If you are looking for something poetic, this is definitely an exhibition not to be missed before January 13th, 2013.
