Gravity, the force that attracts a body toward the centre of the earth, or toward any physical body having mass. And what attracts the gallery to show the work of the Japanese artist Yuriko Takagi is simply the sublimity of her photos. Takagi is definitely no amateur in the creative world. Long time collaborator with famous fashion designers such as Issey Miyake and many others, she divides her career between fashion photography and personal projects. Entitled "The Birth of Gravity," this exhibition is a series that stretched out to fifteen years between the first and the last photos. One of her most intimate projects where she convinces local people from Namibia, Indonesia, Argentina, Japan to China, to pose nude and blend in with their natural environment. The curves of these bodies counterbalances the gravity of these landscapes. A breathtaking exhibition not to be missed before January 15th, 2013.
