Improvised Abstraction

There is a new generation of abstract painters that are coming back in style again in the art scenes recently since its last movement in the 1930s. However, the abstraction in this century is now commonly influenced by pluralism with no consensus and with that anything goes attitude which gives the aesthetic of abstraction without a clear direction. In addition, with the new technologies, digital art, computer art, internet art, photorealism, collage, etc, had also widen the selections in the abstractionism as opposed to the traditional geometric and lyrical abstractions. Improvisations & Compositions, the current exhibition held at the Hélène Bailly gallery is the proof of this new trend inviting modern and contemporary artists such as Camille Bryen, Georges Mathieu, and a few others, to show their own interpretation of the emotional abstraction. If you are interested, you have it until July 28th, 2012, to dive into their world and to admire their work.
