Charitable Trade Show

One of the most charitable French associations Emmaüs (equivalent to the American The Salvation Army) is hosting its 13th edition trade show this coming Sunday at Paris' famous South-West convention centre Porte de Versailles (on the Metro line 12 direction Mairie d'Issy). For those of you who are not familiar with the event, it's basically a giant second hand shop where you can find and buy anything and everything donated by people to the association at very good prices and all the proceeds will go to help people who are in need, not only in France, but also at different parts of the world. Even if you are not looking for anything in particular, it's fun and nice to go have a browse and see what's out there and perhaps meet new people. It is definitely a great event for tourists to mingle with the locals! So if you are in town, why not go and check it out this Sunday June 24th, 2012! See you all there!
