Earthy Jewelry

We often associate silver and gold to jewelries these days. But there are actually many other materials that are being experimented and used since the 70s in the contemporary jewelry creation where art, design and crafts meet together. Entitled "Un peu de Terre sur la Peau (A bit of Earth on the Skin)" where eighteen artists from France, Switzerland, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Taiwan, etc.. propose their vision of their modern day jewelries in materials such as ceramics, silk, wood, etc... Some are in references to the history while others just pure personal imaginary. Conceived by the Bernardaud Foundation, this exhibition of 140 pieces are shown in the museum's Contemporary Space until August 19th, 2012
