It is always hard for emerging artists to make it into the international scenes and to be invited to participate events at prestigious art institutions. The famous Parisian Cartier Foundation is now breaking the rules by inviting over 40 painters, sculptors and filmmakers from around the world to showcase their work at this collective exhibition entitled "Histoires de voir: Show and Tell" to explore the meaning of the terms naive, primitive and self-taught art. Over 400 works, accompanied by videos and texts, this exhibition shows the harmonious art from different geographical locations, religions and cultures despite their diversity. It aims to suggest and testify that other forms and less established contemporary art does exist outside of the system which hopefully will catch on and to be understood and accepted in the years to come. You have time to discover them ahead of everyone else in the City of Light before October 21st, 2012.
