Victor Hugo, one of the greatest poets in France, best known for his novels Les Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, is now being exposed of his talents in drawing that very few people know much about outside of his recognition for the literature work. The exhibition, entitled "Les Arcs-en-ciel du Noir (Rainbow of the Black)," shows Hugo's words and poetic sensibility hidden in different shades of blacks. More than 80 of his rare drawings, alongside his poems, objects, manuscripts, books and photos, are shown through different thematics of the black: black like the youth; black like the theatrical passion; black like the voyage; black like the freedom; black like limitlessness; black as a choice; black like the dazzle. A beautiful and very poetic exhibition not to be missed before August 19th, 2012.
