FABFEST

Ever heard of the Fabfest? If not, well, it's normal coz this weekend will mark the very first edition of this unusual artistical, technological, musical 3-day festival that brings the new digital era under workshops, debates, and exhibition all under one roof. Presented at the art center Gaîté Lyrique (see our previous post about the center here), the festival is a total open space that allows everyone and anyone to participate, explore,  and experience. And it's free of charge (except the concert). The workshop takes you to the world of photo sculpturing by Cyril Hatt who will teach you and let you take away the recreation of the Alpha Jet de la Patrouille de France miniatures made by yourself. The debates, animated by the famous French TV host Frédéric Taddeï, on the themes such as the Sharing and the Transparency based in rare footage from the French archives agency INA. The exhibition showcases a collection of objects that are inspired by the mysterious future of our present based on the omnipresent digital cultures that is part of our daily lives today. The concerts, by famous groups such as the Cascadeur and others, demonstrates the creative power of the digital/electronic music that has gained important presence in the music scenes.
