Most of us probably all have our own pet, if not, maybe the animals we would love to have. But what's so beautiful about these animals anyway? The famous Parisian museum le Grand Palais is currently inviting us to take a look at them up close, no, not zoo animals, but animals that have been painted, sketched, sculpted from centuries ago to more modern version of our day. From Goya, Degas, Giacometti, to Jeff Koons and Louise Bourgeois. Each era and artists all attempted to translate the emotions and the details of their animals and it's not always as easy as it seems to sculpt the feathers or to draw the fur while capturing the realism of the animal. Aside from the technical difficulties, the artists also tried to inject a bit of personality and humor to their work that make us appreciate these animals even more. There are over 120 master pieces, famous or strange, that everyone will definitely find their favorite(s) among them. Don't miss out before July 16th, 2012.
