China and the Chinese markets have been the global focus and talk of this century for a few years now thanks to its economic growth. And that talk is not ready to stop any time soon coz the contemporary Chinese art has also been gaining ground recently with several Chinese artists. One of the most well known and controversial artists is Mr. Ai Weiwei who is currently being honored with an exhibition entitled "Ai Weiwei - Interlacing" at the famous French museum Jeu de Paume at the Concorde Plaza showing his conceptual and socially critical art dedicating to the creation of friction with the reality. A sensitive observer of social problems, not appreciated by the Chinese authorities, was imprisoned on April 3rd, 2011 but then released on bail on June 22nd, 2011. Eight months after his bail, the artist is still banned from leaving the country. His work has that simple, subtle yet complex symbolist social issues being addressed to the world and if you are interested to see his point of view, you are welcome to participate before April 29th, 2012.
