Today (December 21st, 2011) is the shortest day of the year (le jour le plus court in French). To celebrate this day, France has created this day as the Short Film Day (Court métrage = short film in French) that all day long and all night long are devoted to make this day a day to share together great short films. And not only that, everyone is welcome to share and to participate the short film industry in France. The patrons of the event: French actress Jeanne Moreau, film director Jacques Perrin, actress/film director Mélanie Laurent and film director Michel Gondry and several other artists in the film industry also support today's festival. Even if you are not in France, you can also support the festival by watching tons of short films that are being diffused today on TV, on iPad and on many websites. Happy SFD!
