Kate feathery tale

Feather are fascinating to most of us because of their unusual texture and what it represents to us. English artist Kate MccGwire, started to collect them at the pigeons shed next to her studio and then decided to take her fascination a step further by using them to create unusual and even more fascinating sculptures that combine aesthetic, intellectural and visceral elements from this symbolic object. The textures and the colours of different feathers from diverse birds under her creative hands give each of her sculptures an otherness reaction to the seeing, feeling and thinking. MccGwire's quest of the very nature of beauty is certainly beyond what we see with our naked eyes. A philosophical artist such as MccGwire definitely deserves a visit and be admired her hidde beauty before November 10th, 2012 at the Galerie Particulière in Paris.
