In case that you haven't heard, yes, there IS a beach in the City of Light! And this year marks its 11th year in the most romantic city in the world that just started a few days ago. Unlike most of the beaches around the world, our Seine River beach, even though not a "swimmable" one, offers spectacular views and activities you will not get anywhere else. Last week there were 4 days of free live concerts at l'Hôtel de Ville (our city hall) and this coming Friday (July 27th), there will be a giant TV screen at the city hall showing the London Olympic Games live! And not only that, many other free activities such as the Tai Chi, Baladenigm (treasure hunt walks), Le Malade Imaginaire, etc, are all there to entertain you and your families. And if you ever get hungary, there are also many restaurants and ice cream parlor around to make sure that you don't get dehydrated! No more excuse for saying that the beaches are only for the rich and the lucky people, and for you tourists, this is definitely a win-win summer where you get to enjoy the culture, the cuisine, the sun and the beach all together in Paris. No worries, the beach will be around until August 19th, 2012. See you on the beach!
