Design between Two Banks

It seems that the object design is getting more and more mainstream these days that even department stores are trying to explore and cash in with the commercial side of creative object retailing. The French luxury department store Le Bon Marché is currently doing a pop-up exhibition, in collaboration with the Parisian gallery S. Bensimon, entitled "Design entre Deux Rives (Design Between Two Banks)" that showcases a wide variety of object designers the Marais district gallery represents. So what are the two banks? Well, Le Bon Marché is located in the Left Bank (Rive Gauche) while the Bensimon gallery is in the Right Bank (Rive Droite) - hence the title and this exhibition is a dialogue and appreciation of innovation in the design world of objects from the both Banks. Check it out before May 5th, 2012.
