Neon, the chemical element of atomic number 10, an inert gaseous element of the noble gas group, from the Greek word Neos meaning something new, was an art created in the 1940s. However, the first neon tube was already created and revealed by the French chemist Georges Claude at the World Expo in 1912 in Paris. And ever since, people like Moholy-Nagy, Gyula Kosice, Lucio Fontana, had all contributed to the pioneering development of this element in the artistic world. La Maison Rouge which we first introduced over a month ago with the exhibition Memories of the Future (see the previous article here), is taking us back this 100-year-old art with over 100 unseen and historic work that will certainly "light up" your color senses. Come and discover it before May 20th, 2012.
