It's always a sensitive subject to talk about money when one talks about art especially with the current global economic situation in Europe. French artist Pierre Nicolas Ledoux is addressing part of that subject in his "journal d'image (image diary)" that is currently exhibiting at the Magda Danysz gallery where his little black and white photos, taken with his cellphones over the course of his personal activities collages, drawings, prints, etc, reunited to question the true value of art and how it is affected by moral, financial and ontological crises. He suggests that we look beyond the surface and allow ourselves to be seduced by the non visible elements of the art we encounter. Are you ready to take on the challenge? You have a couple more weeks left until February 25th, 2012. If you are interested to see some of his other work, you can check out his site here.
