Latin America photobook

Most of us probably don't know much about Latin America so it is also rare for us to see any photo books of Latin American histories.  Created by a photography forum in Sao Paulo in 2007, after a rigorous investigation and research of images, text, layout, binding, etc, for 3 years from 19 countries such as Cuba and Patagonia and interviews with scholars, publishers, photographers and graphic artists, the result is a surprising powerful, complex and breathtaking exhibition. Throughout the pages, unfolds "something that is part of caress, complaint, appeal, complicity, bitter denunciation (Julio Cortazar)." You will witness the contribution and influence of Latin America in our world history with 40 photo books produced between 1921 and 2012. The six thematics of the exhibition are: History and Propaganda; Urban photography; Photographic essays; Artistic photobooks; Literature and photography; Contemporary photobooks. Want to know more? Check it out before April 8th, 2012.
