Brazilian Contemporary Art has slowly getting noticed in the international art scene in the last few years in major cities such as Chicago, New York and London. Mitologias (Mythologies) is an exhibition title borrowed from famous artwork of Roland Barthes, aims to explore the Brazilian cultural myths and clichés under the eyes of a young generation of artists. How do the young Brazilians see their folkloric traditions, cultural identities, politics, architectures, etc? Installations, videos and many medias are used at this exhibition to evoke the past and certain mythological Brazilian issues. Unfortunately, the exhibition has just ended not long ago so we are sharing some interesting artwork with you here.
