did you say Contemporary Math?

Most of us, when we were asked what our favorite subject was in school, it is unlikely for anyone to say "Math," agree? Well, maybe that might change soon for the generations to come.  The Cartier Foundation is offering a unique exhibition entitled A Beautiful Elsewhere that combines contemporary art and math in a unexpected collaboration between artists, scientists and mathematicians. Through a wide range of mathmatical disciplines such as the number theory, algebraic geometry, differential geometry, topology, probability, partial differential equations, etc, this colorful exhibition brings a new dimension to the world of mathematics with concrete objects and installations that help to understand the often abstract world.  If you hate math, maybe this is your one and only opportunity for a reconciliation long overdue.  Still not sure about it?  You have it till March 18th, 2012, to decide.
