LeBLON Apple

Contemporary sculptures have been gaining grounds in the last few years and one of the international singular voices is the French artist Guillaume Leblon who is nominated this year for the French annual young artist award Marcel Duchamp Prize.  Leblon is considered by many as a conceptual artist whose work is rooted in a series of experiments between arte povera, Anti-form and post-minimalism.  The interesting aspect about Leblon's work is its analytical nature to give spectators a perceptive field of experience instead of just a simple iconographic or narrative apparatus.  His sculpture and installation slow down the time by materializing history and memory and relate often to the dimension of their environment. They might look familiar, yet remain unknown.  And we'll let you discover and find out why he named his current exhibition Black Apple Falls before December 23rd, 2011 at
