Buren Stripes

The name Daniel Buren is probably not familiar to most people; however, the black and white striped columns at the famous Paris Palais Royal (Royal Palace) sure will ring a bell to most.  Yes, he is the master mind behind this artwork (see below) where most of you have already walked around, tiptoed around, step up and down or simply wondered about.  It's time to stripe out Mr. Buren, shall we?

The artist had recently participated in 2011 edition fiac! with his work entiteld Quatre Couleurs sous X (four colours under X) that can now be seen at the gallery Kamel Mennour in Paris.  What's interesting about this artist is his work on perceptions and colours as opposed to just a simple painter.  If you would like to get "striped" by the master, you can check out a list of galleries in the world here that currently exhibit his work. You sure will look at your surroundings differently.
