Body & Soul

"All Flesh is Vegetative," according to the English artist Simon Henwood whose first exhibition in Paris shows you just what he meant.  Henwood has been painting young adolescents as his signature since 1997 to depict the passage from being a child to the young adulthood. Influnced by the American and the Japanese cultures, his work captures short passing and fragile moments that is often ignored in our world of reality.  Unlike the sexual connotative dolls of the German artist Hans Bellmer, Henwood's dolls reveal more of the delicate nature of a woman's body and the soul behind a hidden face. This exhibition will also reveal his 40 new oeuvres, along with his painting series of dolls. If you are curious to discover this talented artist, you have time until January 17th, 2012 at
