We talked about those amazing French mansions currently exhibiting at the City of Architecture museum yesterday and if you are interested for your children to discover it as well, the museum also offers a workshop entitled CHIC! UNE GRANDE MAISON for children of 7-12 years old to allow them work as the architect to design a town house under the eccentric requirements of its crazy clients. The children will get to draw up the facade of the building before decorating the interior of the house. It is an interesting learning experience for small kids, following the visit at the L'Hôtel Particulier exhibition, allows children to expand their imagination while having to respect certain conditions in the construction and the requests of the clients. The workshop is divided into 5 parts (see images below):

1. DISCOVER: What exactly is a "l'hôtel particulier"?
2. OBSERVE: 8 homeless eccentric characters waiting to move into their homes
3. CONSTRUCT: Each team receives its "hôtel particulier" to be constructed in pieces while keeping in mind the desire of the owner of the place!
4. MANIPULATE: The Hôtel Carnavlet has been mixed and deconstructed. Children will have to rebuild it with the help of it's decor elements
5. IMAGINE: Children will have to imagine the furniture that goes into its house with the help of a catalogue
