Jannin's world

French artist Jacques Jannin just ended his exhibition last week at the gallery Artima at Paris' famous Place des Vosges.  Known for his brush strokes and colours, Jannin has a world of his own that often gives a peaceful feeling to the eyes and not only that, it allows the viewers to imagine his or her own stories behind each of his paintings as if you were watching a movie that is about to start.  Trained by Jean Maufay at the Beaux Arts du Havre, Jannin admires the simplicity of expression, a simplicity with a strong force - according to the artist.  He has an amazing technique to create that lighting and shadows in his work that gives each painting a velvety impression as if the movie is about to start. If unfortunately you missed here, the followings are some of his beautiful work to admire.
