J'AI DEUX AMOURS (I have 2 LOVES) is an exhibition about the global phenomenon of immigration and migration that we see more and more in the last decade. Artists today have also become global village citizens who are in constant transit between their own cultural origins and their new cultural capitals such as Paris, New York, Berlin, London, etc, where they live and work. 106 contemporary artwork have been selected to present in this exhibition from the National Immigration History museum and are divided into 5 themes: Départ (depature)-Voyage-Circulations / Entre rêve et nécessité (between dream and necessity) / Frontières: Passage et contrôles (borders: passage and check point) / Vivre ensemble (live together) / Réinventer son univers (reinvent his universe). An interesting subject about personal identity today, a much talked about subject here in France since the beginning of the year. The exhibition will start this Wednesday, November 16th all through June 24th, 2012.
