Judith's Secrets

Art is open to anyone with a creative mind and it is so good to see someone like Judith Scott, born with the Down syndrome in Cincinatti, Ohio in 1943, who joined the Creative Growth Art Center in California, a center for adult artists with developmental, mental and physical disabilities, shared with the world her inner secrets since 1986 with her textile sculptures. Sadly the artist passed away in 2005 and left us her 44 years of artistic secrets. The historical monument Collège des Bernardins in the Left Bank of Paris is currently honouring the late artist, for the first time, with twelve of her artworks that resonate contemporary sculptures of artists such as Louise Bourgeois or Tony Cragg.  The exhibition, entitled OBJETS SECRETS (Secret Objects), shows the magic and the power behind the shape and the weaving of unusual sculptures.  It also shows us that ART can be created by anyone with a passion and the will power and Judith sure is a true inspiration to all of us!  You have the chance to witness some of Judith's secrets till December 18th.
