Are you an ANIMALIER ?

An Animalier, according to the Wikipedia, is an artist, mainly from the 19th century, who specializes in the realistic portrayal of animals.  The term is also used in antiques for small-scale sculptures of animals, of which large numbers were produced in France in the 19th century.  Animal theme has been in fashion, on and off, for more than several centuries, as well as in textile, furnishing, jewelries and many others.  The Parisian Decorative Art Museum has dedicated a special exhibition in their "Study Gallery" (La Galerie d'Études) to the animals with the subjects such as the Animal as the Raw Materials, Finery, Shape, Decor, Animal as Man's Mirror, Animal as Heros and Animal as Scary Creatures. The exhibition will end on December 11th, 2011 so if you have an animal instinct in you, you still have 3 months left to check it out before it's too late!
