Rabindranath Tagore, Indian writer, playwright, composer, and especially the Nobel prize literature winner in 1913, the man of multiple talents was born in 1861 and passed away in 1941. It was towards the end of his life that we discovered that he was also a talented painter. His paintings reveals a vital artistic link between India and the rest of the world. This rare exhibition showcases 85 of Tagore's paintings on paper that illustrate his profound humanity influence in his work as well as his own influence on the modern Indian painters today. If you have not discovered these treasures, you still have a few days left until March 11th, 2012.
