Apple's Origin

Apple Pie is one of the most famous desserts in the Western countries.  Here in France, you can find apples in various forms in every bakery.   French pastries such as Chausson aux Pommes (Apple Turnover) and Tarte Tatin (Upside down Apple Tart) are extremely famous and popular here in the French capital.  But do most of us know where the apples are from originally?  Probably not.  Prehistoric wild apple trees were found in the mountains of Tian Shan in Kazakhstan and they were known to have developed natural resistant to diseases and scabs. Aymak Djangaliev, Kazakh's only scientific academician who studied these wild apple trees was the only one who discovered their secrets and shared this "forgotton garden of Eden" to the world.  These apples' are edible and as beautiful as any commercially, pesticide-treated ones.  The exhibition shows not only a great history, but also a scientific adventure that many lessons can be learnt here.  Do you love eating apples?  You have until March 5th, 2012 to discover the unknown story behind each of your bite of this popular fruit.
