Paris Fashion Week

Oui, Oui, it is that time of the year again - Paris Fashion Week- for Spring/Summer 2012 (yes, we fashion people live in a world that is always at least 6 months ahead) which just started today but unfortunately we still have not found a financial backer to create our own amazing show and to invite you all to our venue this season.  We will let you know when that day comes and you will definitely be the first to be informed.  Most of you might have already noticed certain type of people who are around Paris these days.  Don't panic, they are just models and fashion people who are in and out of cabs and metros.  If you don't know how to spot them, here are a few tips for you to watch out:

This is either a model who had a long night/week of castings between several fashion houses (hence the sunglasses - coz she hasn't had a good night sleep) or a celebrity wanna-be who hopes that people might want to take her photos.  If you do see her, remind her to put some cucumbers before bedtime :)

If you see giraffe or skyscraper girls (they all stand as tall as 6'4 (188 cm) with those heels) walking fiercely like this, they are just young girls practicing their walks for their casting. Don't be scared, they  are not mean, they just haven't had too much to eat lately.  No worries, they won't step on you, they will only walk when casting directors tell them to. Oh, and btw, they only walk straight lines with heads up!

This is an example of those fashion weapons you will see either on some girls' feet or in their bags.  If you want to be a model for Paris Fashion Week, make sure that you can walk in this weapon with a lot of confidence.  If not, you might not make that cut with the casting directors.

This is another example of what fashion bloggers will be wearing.  If you see young girls wearing colourful and funky shoes, you now know who they are.  :)

And if you see a group of people wearing very bright and funky outfits, no, they are not clowns, they are just the singer Kayne West and his gang OR some people who are going to fashion shows coz they want to show their artistic senses to the world.

In case you see a group of GIRLS walking around Paris with high heels, they are probably having their Bachelorette party or just fashion editors with their assistants trying to go to their next show.  With their speed on this photo, the show might be over already...

If you see an older gentleman with a white pony tail and a dark sunglasses in a suit, that's just Karl, who is probably busy talking about his latest collection for Chanel and his gazillion collaborative projects around the globe.  Make sure that you listen carefully coz Karl doesn't repeat himself and he speaks faster than the speed of light!

And when you see a not very smiley mature woman always with a dark and large sunglasses and a perfectly combed Bob hair, oh, that's just Anna who is not very happy with what she sees around her.  And don't stare at her for too long coz she might just stare back at you with that face as if she was saying:"You are so NOT working in this town EVER AGAIN!"  Oh and, DON'T EVEN TRY talking to her (she will only speak to you if she thinks is necessary - you don't speak - you are spoken to) !
