Paris sur Seine

To mark the 10th year of Paris Plages (For those of you who have never been to the city, it's a municipal project that brings sands to the city and transforms the banks along the world famous Seine River into a beach during the summer), the Paris City Council has organised at the Paris City Hall (Hôtel de Ville), an exhibition which highlights the special relationship which Paris has with the Seine all those years.  You can see old footage of one of the summer heat of Paris on the Seine river here or simply click on the photo below.  The exhibition is free of charge and open to the public till September 17th, 2011.

This was the bank on the Seine River in the last century
This is what the ambiance is like today in the summer when it's hot out
